Description : Tube Saturator 2 is an ultra-accurate circuit that simulates a tube preamp with an analog EQ that can be boosted slightly for a warm-up effect, or cranked up for more distortion. Like its predecessor, the Tube Saturator Vintage, the TS2 is based on circuit modeling technology to capture all the nuances of analog circuitry. A circuit consisting of individual tubes, resistors and capacitors is converted into a mathematical system of equations that is solved numerically to produce exactly the same sound as the real circuit. But while the original used a lot of CPU power to compute real-time solutions, TS2 uses large tables of precomputed solutions. The saturation section in TS2 is about 7 times faster than the original, and the simulation is even more accurate. The TS2 includes the original Baxandall-type three-band EQ emulation circuit used in many guitar amps.
When we updated Tube Saturator 2 from v2.11 to v2.13, we messed up the VST3 ID on Windows, which broke compatibility from 2.11 to 2.13, and broke cross-platform compatibility between Win and Mac. This bug persisted in version 2.14. We have released 2.15 which restores the original Windows VST3 ID used in version 2.11 and restores cross-platform compatibility with the Mac VST3 format. However, Windows projects using 2.13 and 2.14 do not recognize 2.15.
