Spitfire carefully studied what made Albion ‘Legacy’ popular, returned to the studio and painstakingly recreated and improved the main points of the original. As in Albion 1, there is a large epic orchestra, but this time the orchestra is increased to 109 players with more articulation, control of vibrato and new functions. Darwin Percussion has been re-recorded with many additional sections (and a couple of old favorites). The “Brunel dynamic loops” section was developed this time by the Spitfire team, made with the help of Paul Clarvis’s favorite percussion, a large amount of what he uses in many films, including “Skyfellow” and “Spectrum.” Stephenson’s Steam Synth “raises the epic to a whole new level thanks to a new script from Spitfire.
