This soundtrack conveys the spirit of the stunning Stranger Things soundtrack from Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. It is full of warmth and nostalgia of the 1980s.
Using the amazing sound of analogue Diva emulation, Phenom produces a palette full of adventure, surprise and fear: Steven Spielberg meets John Carpenter.
Phenom provides an intoxicating combination of classical, analog synthetic tones – simplicity, drift and low-fidelity charm. You will find a lot of silky pads, crisp leads, gloomy basses, sinister soundscapes and characteristic sequences. There is no excessively lush reverb or very fat unison; just beautiful, uncomplicated, thoughtful ideas.
While the main influence on Phenom was on Stranger Things, Cliff Martinez, Goblin, Vangelis and Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow are also affected here. Phenom may also be needed in ambient genres and genres inspired by the 80’s, such as Synthwave and Vaporwave.
