Resona focuses on cinematic ambient music and / or horror music. Resona is an important toolkit for Ambient, Horror and cinematic music in general. The library includes the sounds of bells, glass, mallet, different atmospheres, arpeggios, a huge variety of pads and much more. As a bonus, you even get the opportunity to realize your own samples, if you want.
The core of the library: First, we sampled two small music boxes that you can hear in the “Melodies” patches. After everything worked out well, we decided to turn on more sounds of bells and / or mallets, and fill the sound space behind them with pads and ambient music. Therefore, we created pads and ambients from synthesizers, real instrument recordings
Multis are just some combinations and their possibilities are almost endless. Feel free to create your own. Since each patch has a separate volume slider, you can even move between two or more sounds on the fly. (Using the CC7 by default would only increase the volume of all instruments currently loaded in the rack).
The sounds were meant for instant inspiration, so you can just play them right as you are or in no hurry and adjust the sound until they match your taste.
Patch Editor: gives you the opportunity to use your own samples and take advantage of the graphical interface. I will explain how to use it.
First, we have to re-save the patch in the editor. So decide whether you want to create it in Sampler or DFD mode. [Sampler mode sounds more natural, but DFD will consume less system resources].
Download the patch from the Patch Creator folder.
Click on the wrench in the upper left of the tool, and then on the “Files” icon next to the options.
Now click “save edited instrument […] as” (“save edited instrument […] as) and enter the name you want to give to your instrument. Be sure to save everything as “patch + samples”. (If you accidentally overwritten the patch, do not worry, you have a copy of it in the Patch Creator [Backup] folder). After that, exit Kontakt and open the folder with the sample of your new instrument. * Now you can simply change the location of your own samples. You only need to save their names. For example: “resona_custom_001”. * If you open your patch, you can additionally install Root Key, Fine Tune, Attack and Decay for each of the five samples individually. [Key chart included if you are not familiar with midi numbers] Done! [You can repeat this as often as you like].
