Description : The D&B Textures series from Test Press returns with DnB Textures 2. We present you a collection of sounds for melodic, organic and atmospheric drum and bass. This pack includes live-recorded drum breaks, soft, organic pads that resemble atmosphere, powerful bass lines, keyboard and synth loops, tempo-synced effects, and a wide range of bass, drum and percussion one-shots, effects, and synths. We used a variety of vintage and modern studio equipment to create the sounds in this pack. The drum grooves were played on a live drum kit and then sampled, sliced and transferred to the Akai S3000 in a way that classic software tone samplers can’t match. The Novation Bass Station 2, along with synthesizer-like EMUs and Yamaha samplers, provided amazing bass. And what could be better than a specially programmed Roland JV-2080 to get really sounding pads? The sounds were then processed using the Studiomaster’s “golden era” analog console, embellishing the waveforms with thick preamp tone and superb EQ, and then recorded using the Metric Halo 3D audio interface. Oakley-Moog hardware filters and a cassette deck were also used. Although the focus is on the melodic part of the drum and bass spectrum, this pack is useful for anyone who likes a bit of character in their productions.
