Description : Live is fast, smooth and flexible music creation and performance software. It comes with effects, instruments, sounds and all sorts of creative options – everything you need to create any kind of music.

Comping:
Comping – Live organizes multiple passes of audio or MIDI performance into separate takes. The best parts of these takes can be stitched together to create the final result.
Editing Linked Tracks – Link two or more tracks to edit their contents simultaneously.

MIDI Polyphonic Expression:
MPE Support – Add bends, slides and pressure to each individual note in a chord, add subtle variations in expression, move from chord to chord and create evolving sound textures with greater ease.
Expression View – Edit the pitch, slide, and hit envelopes of each note to improve the expression in your music.
Native MPE enabled devices – Wavetable, Sampler and Arpeggiator have been updated to support MPE.

New Devices:
Hybrid Reverb – combines convolution and algorithmic reverb to create any space, from precise real-life conditions to those that defy physical reality.
Spectral Resonator – Breaks up the spectrum of an incoming audio signal, then stretches, shifts and blurs the result by frequency or note in subtle or radical ways.
Spectral Time – converts sound into partial sounds and converts them into a frequency delay, resulting in metallic echoes, frequency-shifted effects, and reverb-like effects.
Inspired by Nature – Six playful tools and effects that use nature and physics as inspiration. Made in collaboration with Dillon Bastan.
PitchLoop89 – Creates shaky glitch effects, delayed digital shimmer and outlandish vibrato. Made in collaboration with Robert Henke.

Features for the Stage:
Real-time tempo tracking – Live listens to and adjusts its tempo based on incoming audio in real time.
Macro Snapshots – Save the state of macros for later recall.
Rack improvements – Racks can be configured to have from 1 to 16 macros, macro states can be randomized at the touch of a button.

Tools for increasing odds:
Note Chance – sets the probability that a note or drum will be struck.
Speed Probability – Defines speed probability ranges for subtle, humanized changes in dynamics.
Improved Follow-Ups – Follow-ups can now be tied to clip length, customized to transition to specific clips, and enabled or disabled globally. The actions that follow the scene make evolving arrangements possible.

New sounds:
Voice Box, Mood Reel and Drone Lab are packages developed by Ableton, each exploring the spectrum of a specific sound palette.
Upright Piano, Brass Quartet and String Quartet are three sets created in collaboration with Spitfire Audio that reproduce popular orchestral instrument combinations in great detail.

Changes to Push :
Live 11 also bring new functionality to the Ableton Push hardware tool:
Visualizations for new devices – See visualizations of key Hybrid Reverb, Spectral Resonator and Spectral Time parameters on the Push color display and control them directly from the hardware.
Keys and Zoom Synchronization – The new keys and zoom feature in Live 11 is linked to Push and can be changed on a per-clip basis.
Polyphonic Release Support – Apply different levels of release to individual notes when using Wavetable, Sampler and Arpeggiator for more detailed and dynamic performance when pressed.
View up to 16 macros – Access macros 9-16 from the second page after the Rack page with macros 1-8.
