Description:
Cerise is a “British style” channel strip that combines a mic preamp,
three-band equalizer and compressor. It is part of the famous Big Ceil plugin suite.
Peculiarities :
The controls are divided into four main sections. In the “stereo” section you can adjust the stereo span and stereo panorama. The “equalizer” section contains a three-band parametric equalizer. The dynamics panel contains a compressor module with threshold, time, ratio and filter controls. It also features a dry/wet handle for easy parallel processing.
Finally, the “preamp” section contains a high-pass filter and a texture parameter. This is where the signal gets the final polish with analog-style saturation.
Cerise is equipped with a pair of input and output level monitors with gain controls. Each section can be bypassed to reduce CPU load.
Like most Acustica plugins, Cerise requires a powerful computer to function properly. It sounds very good, but the performance can be quite weak if you use a slower processor.
