and all this within one plugin! With Mystic you can easily shape your tracks, making them round, bright,

Mystic consists of three incredibly simplified, yet effective sections. A pure vacuum tube preamp module with high and low pass filters, an easy to use Baxandall style EQ section and finally a “Frankenstein” optical limiter section, vastly improved over the original module by adding additional controls for greater versatility. Why did we choose the Baxandall EQ for Mystic?
The Mystic is a versatile instrument, ideal for tracking, mixing and mastering music, but in our opinion it is at its best as a processor for the Mix and Master Buss blocks, and therefore the Hyper EQ is best suited for this section, which is extremely is intuitive, adding sparkle and air to your mixes without being harsh, and reaches a fat, mud-free low end with low-high shelving filters with a natural, gentle slope. These EQ curves have wide bandwidth and minimal phase distortion, allowing you to sharply boost and cut levels without unwanted artifacts, as if cutting through butter. This tool is not intended to radically change the sound, but it is great for enhancing sources with subtle and unobtrusive sweetening. In some cases, you won’t notice it’s on at all, and we mean that in a completely positive way! This is our tribute to the invaluable legacy of Peter Baxandoll, whose exceptional, innovative tone controls, created in the 1950s, have graced countless hi-fi systems around the world.
Mystic Pre-Section: “Timeless modernity, from vintage charm to modern splendor
Undoubtedly, Mystic can be described as a valve channel strip with a vintage voice that seamlessly combines classic aesthetics and modern functionality. Inspired by the golden age of recording in the ’50s and early ’60s, it boasts timeless gate-based signal processing complemented by inventive modern enhancements. The Mystic preamp stage is a faithful reproduction of the original hardware, enhanced with our ultra-performance Hyper technology. The console’s all-tubular signal path is accompanied by custom wound transformers on both the input and output. The challenge was to fully reproduce the pre-amp and saturation stage, and we believe we succeeded.
Mystic Dynamic Section: “Alchemical Limitation”
The Mystic’s dual-monoblock Opto-limiter boasts incredibly natural attack and release characteristics, preserving transients and tame even the fastest peaks. It imparts a soft and exceptional feel, particularly suited to contexts that require a softer approach, such as compression of vocals, basses, guitars and drum loops. In addition, to prevent the compressor from overemphasizing the sibilants when the gain is reduced significantly, we implemented a much faster attack time – almost instantaneous. Additionally, the sidechain filter (50 to 250 Hz) plays an important role in restoring warm low frequencies, serving as a powerful remedy for this problem. Its distinctive tone and compression behavior set it apart… not to mention, to make it even more versatile and a true powerhouse, it has been equipped with two additional “custom” modes specifically designed to provide greater versatility and truly amazing compression characteristics. Designed to be a quick and intuitive way to make mixes competitive without ruining their musicality and dynamics with harsh peaks, these “custom” limiters also add a touch of “vintage vibe” when used in conjunction with a preamp, and the compression sound offers a variety of facets thanks to a variety of modes. , presented in the plugin, and the natural and smooth feeling of compression.

We’ve been diving into the experimental realm lately, with a focus on improving preamps in their ultra mode to achieve more accurate saturation. While classic preamps were admired for their subtle distortion, they struggled with noticeable saturation. This led to the exploration of artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques such as Wavenets, but they had shortcomings in reproducing high-end audio. Advances in wave shaping techniques, exemplified by “Jam”, improved the performance of the preamp in Ultra mode, resulting in a significant breakthrough called “Fire The Gold”. It was static in nature, so the upcoming new product called Hyper3 represents dynamic, three-dimensional saturation that maintains transient response even when saturated. This innovation includes two technologies: HyperPre3 and HyperSat3.
HyperPre3 uses FIR filters for high-quality transient distortion emulation, while HyperSat3 uses IIR filters for pronounced distortion and stability emulation. These methods combine to simulate various variations of harmonic distortion, offering better high-frequency phase control than artificial intelligence methods such as WaveNet. New techniques promise amazing clarity and mastering potential at arbitrary sample rates. They also provide variable time and frequency saturation depending on the program, resulting in a more reliable transient response similar to the original hardware model.
